«Wenn ich mit aktiven Fussballern spreche und sie über ihre Pläne zu ihrer Nachsport-Karriere frage, höre ich oft: Ich möchte im Fussball bleiben!
Das war auch meine Antwort, als ich noch aktiver Fussballspieler war.
Und wisst ihr warum?
Weil ich keine Ahnung hatte, was ich ausser Fussball kann und wo ich das einsetzen will!
Ich glaube, ich war in einer Art Blase drin.»
Heute ist Beni froh darüber, dass er auch noch andere Chancen und Möglichkeiten wahrnehmen konnte.

As you know, Beni Huggel already went through the transition to his post-sports career. We wanted to know a little more about his perspective on this topic. An interesting point of view Beni gave us: “When I talk to active footballers and ask them about their plans for their post-sports career, I often hear: I just want to stay in football! That was also my answer when I still was an active footballer. And do you know why? Because I had no idea what I could do apart from playing football and also I didn’t know where I could have to used that! I think back then I was inside some kind of bubble.” Today, Beni is happy that he was able to take new chances and opportunities.
