Laurien put an end to her career as a cross-country ski athlete over a year ago. Since her retirement, we’ve had the pleasure of sharing many exceptional moments with her, such as her speech at Athletes Day, her impressive performances at our annual golf tournaments and her debut in the business world at Zurich Insurance. For us, she’s a great example of how an athlete can successfully master the path to a ‘second’ career. It’s precisely because of this experience that she’s worth her weight in gold to us as an ambassador. It’s even more wonderful that Laurien continues to work as an ambassador for the Athletes Network. We are certain that she will continue to play an essential role in promoting the usefulness of the network to athletes.
